I want to share an aspect of my life that has supported my healing in a big way:  the concepts I have learned in my career as a personal and business coach.

Being a coach is incredibly fulfilling to me. I specialize in helping entrepreneurs and small business owners optimize their lives and companies. When I began this career, I already was far along on the recovery journey. Yet the journey is so much more vivid and joyful because I have chosen this for my life’s work.

The truth is, the coaching concepts in the next six topics can enrich anyone’s life. For a child sexual abuse  survivor, these concepts have special value in helping clear away clutter that can delay the healing process.

I was trained in these concepts at Coach U, founded by Thomas Leonard. Thousands of people besides myself are living more satisfying, joyful lives because of Thomas’s work.

One of the first programs he created was called Personal Foundation, and the concepts I will share are drawn from it. I use them everyday—in my own life as well as with the clients I coach.

If you find these concepts as intriguing as I expect you will, here are resources for learning more:

  • The Portable Coach, by Thomas Leonard, 1998, Scribner.
  • Coach U (coachu.com)
  • CoachVille (coachville.com)

If you are interested in working with a coach trained to guide people in the use of these concepts, refer to the list of Certified Graduates of Coach U on their website. You will also find a coach referral service on the website of the International Coach Federation.   https://coachingfederation.org/
